Sometimes a glittering career hides some of the most heartbreaking stories. Jones also was a part of the second team to finish for the 100-meter relay. Jones was the winner of the NCAA Indoor Hurdles competition in 2003 and in 2004. Jones started her track and field career at the end of 2005, when she had completed her university studies. Jones was the winner of each of in the Torino Memorial and the Heusden Track events in the same year.
Brandt was born within Cape Town South Africa with her siblings and parents relocated to Auckland New Zealand when she was in her late teens. Brandt, discovered by local casting agencies, took the lead role of Naevia on the Starz blockbuster Spartacus Blood and Sand and Spartacus Gods of the Arena.
